To start my new photo challenge, I headed up to the Berkeley hills to try and catch the sunrise. That didn’t work out as well as I had imagined, so the kid and I journeyed over to Lake Anza in Tilden Regional Park to snap some additional photos and get a little hike in. You can read more about it here, and see the final photo chosen for the week.
While at the lake, we also spotted a red-tailed hawk perched in the trees around the edge. She was nice enough to pose for me for fifteen minutes before taking off again. Below are some additional photos I had taken that morning that were nice, but did not make the final cut. The middle photo, “Sleeping Giant”, is of Mount Tamalpais from a distance.
